PSBSC Launches Website

Tuesday Nights are now Plockton Sailing Club Nights!

The Plockton Small Boat Sailing Club (PSBSC) has launched a new website (www.plockton-sailing.com) which is aimed at improving communications for the local sailing community.  For the first time, all of its races and onshore activities will be posted on the site, together with information about Tuesday Club Nights, upcoming training opportunities,  a forum for sourcing boats and crew members and a section specifically for junior sailors.

Alaisdair MacKenzie, the Club's Commodore said: "The site is an exciting addition to the ways in which we communicate with our members and the wider sailing fraternity here on the West Coast.  Many of our younger members live outwith the area now so the success of traditional word-of-mouth messaging is limited.  Having an online presence which people can refer to at their own convenience will enable members and visitors alike to plan ahead and get more involved with our Club."

PSBSC has over 100 members but welcomes all visitors to participate in its races throughout the season.  Aside from traditional local boat racing for which Plockton is renowned and respected, there is a growing centreboard presence which the Club is actively encouraging.  Tuesday Club Nights will run throughout the race season and anyone interested in sailing and/or boats and wishing to join the Club will be made very welcome.  The evenings will involve both sailing and an informal catch-up in the Boat Shed for fellow members to share news and views.
