Members of PSBSC recently teamed up with staff from Broadford Hospital in a combined fund raising cycle from Glasgow to Plockton / Broadford. In total 21 cyclists took part, with some completing the distance as a team relay, and others doing the whole distance individually over 2 days or in the case of 4 cyclists from Plockton – completing the whole lot in a single day. In total £8,200 was raised, with a cheque for £2,733 being passed to PSBSC by event organiser Gus Loudon. This money will be used primarily to continue to develop the junior sailing programme within the club, with a significant portion of the money to be used to train 4 more PSBSC members as RYA instructors and to purchase a multi-stacking dinghy trailer to enable juniors to more easily compete against other Highland sailing clubs in the future.

Other recent fundraising efforts by the club have included a very successful and fun filled Open Day and the hosting of a social evening and barbeque for the ‘Classic Malts’ yacht cruise. In total these have raised more than £1,000 for the club. A huge 'Thank you' to all involved!
